Tormentil contains more tanins that the bark of oak, very astringent, in gargarism it releives inflammation of the throat, mouth ulcers, gums infections. Also : Diarrhoeas, dysentery, colitis, irritation of the intestine, metritis, heumorroid, haemorrhages. And of external use : Contusions, burns, mouth ulcers. Out of infusion : 15 to 30 g for 1 liter of ebullient water, let infuse 10 minutes, drink in two days. In external use for compress : 2 handfuls for 1 liter of water, make boil 10 minutes.
