Tree of the Mediterranean area from 10 to 25 m of which one uses the fruits of young branches.

Decoction of cypress nuts strengthen blood vessels, often used on varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
Also: Diarrhoeas, whooping-cough, cough, enuresis.



Decoction : One spoonful of crushed cones for one cup of water, boil several minutes ; one cup before meals.

In external use on hemorrhoids or varicose veins with a decoction 50g of crushed nuts for 1 liter of water, let become cold.

Tincture; maceration of 10g of nuts in 100g of alcohol 60% during 24 hours, filter, preserve in stoppered bottles; take 10 drops in a herb tea sweetened with honey, twice a day against cought.
