Common tree from 10 to 30 m of which one uses the bark and chestnuts.

Chestnut tree is prescribed as antihemorrhagic, astringent bark is useful for hemorrhoids, varicose veins, phlebitis sequelae, obesity, diarrhea.
Also: Bruise, hepatic congestion, congestion of the pelvis (hip bath) frostbite, rosacea, febrifuge.



Decoction of chestnut, 40 g of dried bark of young branches for a liter of water, boil 10 minutes; two cups a day.

Tonic bath for the circulation with a concentrated decoction of bark to be added to the bath water.
