Potentially toxic. Plant of the wet grounds, edges of the rivers growing 0,90 m of which one uses the aerial parts and the root. Butterbur strengthens the organism, eliminates bronchial mucosities, relieves pains and spasms. Prescribed in the treatment of bronchitis, asthma and whooping-cough. Also : Indigestion, urinary tracts inflammation, antispasmodic. And of external use : Cataplasm on cutaneous eruptions, accelerates wounds cicatrization.
